On Wednesday, Apple (finally) released firmware 4.0.2, which patches the very large security holes exploited by comex in the 2nd incarnation of jailbreakme.com. The only problem is they outright abandoned iPhone2G and iPod Touch 1G users! MuscleNerd has announced that an upcoming comex release will jailbreak all 4.0 devices. This has freed up the iPhone Dev-Team to work on an unlock for the iPhone 4.

The iPhone Dev-Team has released the iOS 4.0 jailbreak for the iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G (non MC).

One of the best things about jailbreak is the possibility to enable true multitasking and install application switchers, pretty much like those ones you can have on Mac OS X and Windows PCs.
